From the same team that brought you “Goodbye Mr Loser” comes the hilarious dark comedy "Mr Donkey". In order to pay for the donkey that brings them water, a countryside village registers it as a teacher at its local school. But when the charity group that funds the school visits for an inspection, the village has to find ways to hide their secret.
Breaking Through
The blind swordsman, skilled in martial arts, named Cheng Xiazizi (played by Xie Miao), accidentally saves Zhang Xiaoyu (played by Yang Enyou), who has suffered from the destruction of his family. Under the persuasion of the orphan Xiaoyu, Cheng Xiazizi reluctantly keeps him by his side and teaches him skills. Xiaoyu also waits for the opportunity to seek revenge.
Three free and romantic young people live a life with their own thoughts: some are eager to get rid of singleness, some want to debauch before getting married, some want to gain a foothold in the big city. Because of an emotional derailment, the three kinked into a mess of "joking and scolding". The historical fantasy film basically revolves around the tale of an impoverished scholar and a fox demon in search of a magic pill. Chen Linong plays the guileless Wang Zijin, the scholar on the way to Beijing who inadvertently becomes fast friends with Li Xian’s fox demon Bai Shisan. Unbeknownst to him, the wily Bai Shisan actually has plans to use him to retrieve the magic pill that will turn him immortal.
