An unhappily in-love car mechanic living in a small village finds himself at a crossroads; the apparent senselessness of life saddens him, and his only friend, the local butcher, is not much help.
When SHE finally wants to put an end to it after further arguments, HE asks her for one last day. A day on which he can prove to her that it still makes sense to fight for the relationship. The two spend their last (first?) day in the country.
