It's the 16th of July Virgin del Carmen´s day, and Salomé, a beautiful 14-year-old girl, is celebrating the first anniversary of her beloved father’s death. While everybody is partying, her Grief contrasts with the festivity environment, forcing her to confront her pain, her own believes, her myths and even her most precious childhood memories and illusions to be able to understand imminent death and finally get some closure.

A violent and alcoholic gold prospector lives with his wife near the border. She is convinced that a demon is stalking them, and he thinks his wife is cheating on him. Blinded by jealousy, he decides to seek both his wife’s lover and the demon to strike them down.

El Jeremías is a heartwarming comedy film about family love and the hard choices that come with opportunity. Set in Sonora Mexico, the film tells the story of Jeremías an eight year old who finds out he is a gifted child and initiates a journey of self discovery. When an opportunistic physiologist makes contact with Jeremías, a new world of experiences open up to him but at the expense of being away from the family he loves. Jeremías must choose between this exciting but lonely new world he finds himself in or returning home to his loving family.
