This film presents a unique behind-the-scenes look into the lives and training of two of the world’s top figure skaters, Evgenia Medvedeva and Alina Zagitova. In the spotlight, they soar and spin through the air while beaming radiant smiles. But their real lives include more discipline, devastating falls, and harsh criticism than perfect landings and effusive praise.

Maya is a former figure skater who, due to personal tragedy, fails her first two attempts at senior international competition. Inspired by her skating idol, Igor Rusky, she decides at the age of thirty, to get back on the ice and pursue her dream of competing once more. As she starts skating again, she is overcome with the painful memories of her past and develops a unique form of visualization, placing Igor Rusky into her old memories to replace pain with inspiration and giving her a chance to pursue her dreams.

The film tells about the first steps of Evgenia Medvedeva on the ice, about working with Eteri Tutberidze, about everything that the world champion had to give up for the sake of sports, and what to gain. And also - about overcoming, about sincere and complex emotions and real partings. And also - about plans, prospects and about who to be after the sport.

Figure skater Katya suffers because of her father, who is a real domestic tyrant. After his unexpected death, she comes to Moscow to train with a tough coach and take part in the World Championships. She may have the opportunity to get a grant and gain long-awaited freedom for herself and her little sister.
