The Janitor

A man chooses to leave the city and goes back to his hometown in the countryside. However, he finds that his dream of being a farmer is shattered as the property developers have flocked into this small town in Southern Taiwan. Consequently, the farmland is taken over by holiday homes and villas, which not only look incongruous in the landscape but have destroyed the serenity. A woman who left home lives in one of the villas. She has been trapped in the house both physically and mentally until she meets the man. Their encounter is about to change everything…

Ko plays Croc, a young gangster who goes back to work for his former boss at a city councilor’s office after his release from jail. Croc’s latest task is to deal with Ping, a headstrong farmer who adamantly refuses to give up her land for redevelopment. As Croc and Ping develop feelings for each other, Croc is determined to become a better man and hang on to his newfound happiness — even if it means defying his own mob.

Lin turned to meat pie peddler who used to be a gangster. Lin stole his mother's money and asked the peddler to kill four of his classmates. But the peddler didn't take revenge for Lin; he ran away. Because of this, Lin transfers to a new school, a transformed person. From the scrawny boy bullied around, he has become the ring leader of a gang of bullies.

Right in the afternoon after the graduation ceremony, the boys' plan to celebrate was disturbed by a sudden rain. Xiao-hai rushed to the park and it was already past the time he and Xiao-pan were supposed to meet. The rain had stopped; everything looked brand-new. Summer is on its way, but a sudden death has made everything somewhat different.
