Aviv Geffen, the grandson of legendary Moshe Dayan and number one Israeli rock list, is rapidly becoming a mythic figure himself. He was the last person to embrace Rabin before that controversial politician was assassinated. The charismatic, bisexual singer-songwriter has rapidly become the Jim Morrison or Bob Dylan of his country, a voice that represents peace and integrity for a troubled young generation. Concert footage, kinetically edited and brilliantly shot, reveals the depth of feeling that many Israelis have for Aviv: hip, youthful women and men are clearly enamored of his presence. Directed by Tomer Heymann, this feature documentary follows the life of Aviv Geffen, a controversial Israeli singer whose liberal upbringing led him to refuse to serve in the Israeli military. Over the last six years, Geffen has become a spokesperson for the country's youth, and this film chronicles the rise of his career, his family roots, and how he finds the inspiration to write music.

The songs "The 16th Sheep" and "This Kid Is Me", along with the children's songs of Arik Einstein, Chava Alberstein, Matti Caspi and others, have long been Israeli classics. Almost everyone can quote at least a line or two from "The Prettiest Girl in the Kindergarten", "Closed Kindergarten", "Lightning and Thunder", and "How is a Song Born"; Or close your eyes and see in your mind's eye the painted windows in the series "And This Kid", in which Yehuda Atlas told us in honest and touching verses, what the world of a child really looks like. Through interviews with Yehonatan Geffen, Yehuda Atlas, Yoni Rechter, Chava Alberstein, Matti Caspi and others, the film brings the untold story of the creation of the children's songs we grew up with. Along with the interviews, home movies and archive materials are shown, and the viewer embarks on a musical journey to the early days of the "me" generation.

This documentary, directed by Boaz Davidson, was originally intended to warn youth against drug abuse. The film offers an intimate portrait of Shmuel Adi, known as Handsome Jimmy, a 29-year-old man who lives in Tel Aviv and is addicted to opiates and other drugs. In his unique speaking style, Jimmy talks candidly about his struggles and the loneliness of being an addict. The soundtrack features Shalom Hanoch’s song “Children of Life,” written especially for the film.
