Journalist Sanni visits the countryside to write about the timber industry. Looking for a room she is immediately thrust into the merry community of loggers, always up for a song, but one of them, Hurma-Jussi, is a little too persistent. Luckily, she is “saved” by the handsome lumberjack Eräs.

Three brothers, all with their own problems that could be solved by money, try to come up with a plan to get they share of their uncle's fortune. Then a murder takes place and it is the job of a detective to find out which one of the brothers did it.

A comedy about a social studies professor opposing a dockworkers strike ending up working at the docks by mistake and having his worldview turn upside down.
