Told through a looping, non-linear narrative from each of the characters' points of view, the film reconstructs the stories of a Yugoslav hit man, his former lover and her police officer boyfriend, as their paths cross in New York.
Six very different New Yorkers go about their lives without realizing the impact they're having on one another—yet. A mysterious web of coincidences will gradually draw these strangers closer, changing the course of their lives forever.
