Kasturi Sivarao

Roopavathi is a 1951 Indian Telugu film released on 1951. The film is directed by K. Prabhakara Rao.

Princess Rupa falls in love with Chandrasena, a commoner, as per an astrological prediction. Her king father plots to separate them but in vain.

The film begins with Kalavathi, the only daughter of Simhala King Rajasimha, who is averse to marriage. So was Sudhakara, son of King Parthapa of Avanthi. Unable to convince him to get married, King Parthapa keeps him, along with a servant Dooradarsi, in a dilapidated house in the forest.

After King Siddhoji's wife instigates him against his three nephews named Somoji, Subandhi and Firoji, a series of unfortunate events occur.

Panduranga Mahatyam is a 1957 Telugu film directed by Kamalakara Kameswara Rao and starring N. T. Rama Rao playing the role of Pundarika. The Lyrics written by Samudrala Ramanujacharya are excellent. The songs of Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao particularly Jaya Krishna Mukunda Murari and Amma Ani Pilichina are ever remembered as the best film songs expresses the human feelings of devotion and sorrow.
