Biography
Ernst Jacob Theodor Kressner (born in february 12, 2000) is an independent film director, writer, producer and sound designer in Stockholm, Sweden. He studied film for two years at Sundbybergs Folkhögskola where he made two short films in the body horror sub-genre. Jacob's films use unconventional allegories to tell deeply personal stories and experiences set in everyday environments. The heightened imagery portrays manic variations of sadness, horror, beauty and joy.
Jacob grew up watching horror films and studied DIY tutorials on special effects. Early on he grew enchanted by the magic, the engaging drama and the forbidden nature of horror media. He developed a lively imagination that slightly unnerved school teachers and at the age of 17 he realised what he had to do: give himself wholly and completely to this world of film and never look back. He started studying filmmaking in 2019 and since then all of his efforts have gone into finding his voice as a filmmaker.
