On the eve of the French Revolution, two town officials confront the Buckriders - a criminal gang who appear to ride on flying goats with the Devil - but along the way they will face deceit, corruption, betrayal and finally each other.
A father organizes a birthday party for his daughter. He finds himself in an awkward situation with his sisters. When he looks for his daughter to eat the birthday cake, he realizes his daughter is already dead; she died in a car crash next to him.
