A 27-year-old young man wakes up one morning with the heavy task of having to register his father's death in public records. To his surprise, he discovers that the process is much more cumbersome than he had anticipated.

1986, Peru. Toño is an amateur singer, but above all, he is an impersonator of acclaimed salsa singer Héctor Lavoe. Toño has spent his entire life trying to meet his idol, he is very devoted to him and strongly believes that his songs were written for him. One day, Héctor Lavoe travels to Peru and Toño is about to make the impossible happen; he will meet him and finally break his streak of bad luck. An adventure that will involve meeting the President, sailing with mermaids, being surrounded by armed groups - So many obstacles, but it finally seems that it will be his lucky day.
