The protagonist, Sophia, is trying to decide whether to pursue the arts or a more academic subject as she's applying for university. When Sophia's sister visits her for her eighteenth birthday she realizes that transitioning into adulthood can be overwhelming, but that some things are worth pursuing even if uncertainty can be frightening.
