Banya and Bapu are two friends who are living in a cow shed and in search of work. Banya leaves a suicidal letter to Bapu due to poverty but Kanta spoils his plans by asking to save his drowning brother. They both get a job as waiters in a hotel and Bapu falls in love with Kamal.
After death of her father, Bhakti comes to stay with her fathers friend Inamdar, who decides to take care of her as his daughter and marry her to his son Vikram who is studying in the city.
