From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Alexander Scourby (November 13, 1913 – February 22, 1985) was an American film, television, and voice actor known for his deep and resonant voice. He is best known for his film role as the ruthless mob boss Mike Lagana in Fritz Lang's The Big Heat (1953), and is also particularly well-remembered in the English-speaking world for his landmark recordings of the entire King James Version audio Bible, which have been released in numerous editions. He later recorded the entire Revised Standard Version of the Bible. Scourby recorded 422 audiobooks for the blind which he considered his most important work. He has a reputation in the audiobook industry as being one of the greatest narrators: "He is heralded as having the greatest voice ever recorded."

Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Sasa Handa

Biography

Sasa Handa is a Japanese model, actress and former AV Idol who was born on April 18, 1985 in Okinawa, Japan. She has also used the name Chieri Haruyama. Under the name Chieri Haruyama she appeared in a number of wrestling catfight videos beginning in September 2003. The DVD series, Idol Fight MetoMix, was produced from full-length live wrestling tournaments with the women attired in bikinis. She appeared in volumes 1-2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 of the series released over the period from September 2003 to October 2004. She also starred in a number of "gravure" videos starting at least as early as December 2003 with the DVD release Computer Angels Vol. 2. By August 2005, she was using the name Sasa Handa and was featured in the erotic horror V-Cinema film Onna Onmyōji - Jain kakusei directed by Shōji Tsuyoshi and released by TMC. Handa also appeared in other media including a regular role in the TV show Yarisugi kōji as well as appearances on the TV Asahi variety show Kusano Kid and the TV Tokyo documentary Kyuuyo meisai. In February 2006 she appeared in the movie Tōkyō Daigaku Monogatari as the character Eri Suzuki, in what was her first nude role. Tōkyō Daigaku Monogatari was produced by the adult video studio Soft On Demand and soon afterwards that studio announced that Handa had signed with them as an AV actress. She made her AV debut with SOD in July 2006 with the video Debut. Despite only performing in AV for the second half of 2006, Handa received a number of awards for that year's work. At the 5th Annual SOD Awards in 2006, Handa received the SOD Award for contributions to the company's sales and images, the Best New Actress Award, and one of the Actress Awards for Excellence. She was also given one of the Best New Actress Awards for Excellence from the AV Actress Grand Prix contest in 2006. Additionally, All About AV columnist Kemuta Otsubo picked Handa as #3 on his list of the ten top AV actresses for 2006. In addition to continuing her AV career, in 2007 Handa also appeared in the role of Koichi Omote in three V-Cinema releases of the popular erotic comedy action series Kekko Kamen: Kekko Kamen Royale, Kekko Kamen Premium and Kekko Kamen Forever. Her co-star in the series was fellow AV actress Maria Ozawa. She was also a featured player in the May 2007 theatrical movie, Zero Woman R, part of the Zero Woman film series. Later in 2007, Handa starred in the V-Cinema erotic horror production Undead Pool, also known as Attack Girls Swim Team vs the Unliving Dead, which was released in Japan in December 2007 and with English subtitles in the US in December 2008. One reviewer notes that "Handa ... is "beautiful in a dreamy, drugged-up kind of way."

John Lasseter

Biography

John Alan Lasseter is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, voice actor, and the head of animation at Skydance Animation. He was previously the chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Disneytoon Studios, as well as the Principal Creative Advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering. Lasseter's first job was with The Walt Disney Company, where he became an animator. Next, he joined Lucasfilm, where he worked on the then-groundbreaking use of CGI animation. After Lucasfilm became Pixar in 1986, Lasseter oversaw all of Pixar's films and associated projects as executive producer and he directed Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Cars, "Toy Story 3" and "Cars 2". He has won two Academy Awards, for Animated Short Film (Tin Toy), as well as a Special Achievement Award (Toy Story).

Gabriele Muccino

Biography

Gabriele Muccino is an Italian film director. He is the elder brother of actor Silvio Muccino, who often appears in his brother's films. Born in Rome, Gabriele Muccino gained success with films such as L'ultimo bacio (One Last Kiss) and Remember Me, My Love (Ricordati di me) with Monica Bellucci. He is currently making a switch to directing Hollywood films after L'ultimo bacio won the Audience Award for World Cinema at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival bringing him to the attention of the American film industry. Muccino was handpicked by Will Smith to serve as the director of The Pursuit of Happyness. Said Muccino in a later interview, "Will had to defend me as a choice to the studio; I could barely speak English and I could barely express my vision. I felt protected and that I could push my ideas even when they weren't totally conventional. The reason why I found respect, and respect for my ideas, was because of Will." Muccino also directed Smith's later film, Seven Pounds.

Jean Ferniot

Biography

Jean Ferniot (10 October 1918 – 21 July 2012) was a French journalist and novelist. He won the Prix Interallié in 1961. Ferniot was born on 10 October 1918 in Paris, France. He grew up in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. He became an orphan at the age of eight, when his mother died. He was raised as a Roman Catholic, and he considered becoming a priest as a young man. Ferniot was educated at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris. He briefly served in World War II, and he was subsequently awarded the Croix de Guerre. Ferniot was a journalist. He began his career at the Agence France-Presse. He subsequently worked for Franc-Tireur and France Soir. He then joined L'Express as a political and culinary columnist. He was also a contributor to Radio Luxembourg until 1983. Ferniot was the author of several books. He won the Prix Interallié for L’Ombre portée in 1961. He was a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Ferniot was married three times. With his second wife, journalist Christiane Collange, he had two sons, Vincent Ferniot and Simon Ferniot. A native of Beijing and born as Zhang Zi-Ting, Hang has starred in over 60 titles and numerous TV serials. He's a versatile actor who can tackle any role, including loving fathers, office managers and touch guys. He joined Shaw Brothers in 1968 and starred in two martial arts films "Tomorrow Is Another Day" and "The Fastest Sword", where he played Chu Ching's father in both of them. Later, Hang discarded his five-year contract with Shaw Brothers because of the traveling. He turned to work in various Taiwanese film companies during the 1960s and 1980s, where he starred in "Secret Agent Chang Kong No.1", "Clam Fairy" and "It All Started With A Bed". Stefanie Peti is a Los Angeles-based Actress and Humanitarian. Tough, determined, and passionate are just some of the words that come to mind when describing Stefanie. Armed with a passion and a dream, she came to the United States in 2015 to continue her pursuit of acting. After taking theatre in high school, she studied Belles Arts at the University of Barcelona. Nathan Kress (born November 18, 1992) is an American actor, director, and former child model. He is known around the world for his lead role on Nickelodeon's hit show "iCarly", Nathan plays Freddie Benson, Carly's smitten next-door neighbor and technical producer of her web show. Now that iCarly has ended its stellar run, Nathan is breaking out into feature films, as a lead in "Into the Storm", a Steve Quale tornado thriller for New Line Cinema, due to be released in August 2014. Born in Glendale, California, Nathan began acting at the age of three and quickly landed a feature film role as the voice of Easy the Chimp in "Babe: Pig in the City". By fifth grade, he had landed a recurring role as a sketch performer on "The Jimmy Kimmel Show" playing various characters; one of his favorite being a young Simon Cowell of "American Idol". Shortly thereafter, Nathan began to book guest-starring roles on such shows as "Without a Trace", "Standoff", "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody", "House MD", and "Notes from the Underbelly".
