He's opposed by Daniel, one of his employees, and eventually comes crashing down, impaled on his own hubris. So Daniel gets given the poisoned chalice of leadership in his place, just to end up as amoral and platitudinous as the man and values he initially stood up against.

A couple from Estonia visits a town in Sweden. One of the locals visits them a few times until one night things get out of hand after a few drinks. From then on we see how the police investigates a double murder and what complexions arise during this investigation.

A small Swedish village, Högboträsk, is so peaceful that crime is nonexistent. The police spend their shifts drinking coffee, eating hot dogs and chasing down runaway cows. This is all well and good for the village's own police, but the police management board wants to discontinue the local police force for lack of crime.

When 68-year old Karin clears out her late husband’s wardrobe, she happens to find his pyjama. She decides to sleep in it, but the pyjama itches against her body, making her night sleepless. Karin’s daughter insists that she should move on, but together with her home care, Karin instead starts to look for a solution.

Two young girls, becoming women, share their thoughts and experience. One of the girls starts dating a much older married man.
