"Smother" is a narrative short film that gives a snippet into the life of Lia, a young girl in the depths of her eating disorder, struggling to break free from the grips of her overbearing mother. This story delves into how a strained mother-daughter relationship pushes Lia to restrict food in order to gain a sense of control over her life.

An isolated girl envisions having an imaginary friend who is a replica of herself and grows to love the company in her home. The character’s visions of her imaginary friend strengthen as the film continues, as does their emotional bond. However, by the end, she is left with the realization that she was never real in the first place.
