Biography
ZaKeyia Lacey is a Theatre Actress from Wilmington, Delaware. She began her dance career at the age of 3, doing competition dance from the age of 7 to 14, and finally going to Cab Calloway School of the Arts as a dance major for high school.
Between that time, she found a love for activism and leadership, becoming the Head Captain of her Cheerleading Squad, Class President, President of her Black Student Union, and even starting her own organization, BVoice, a platform to inspire African American artists to empower their voices.
ZaKeyia developed her love of theatre in high school, where she was the Dance Captain of several productions, leading her to currently pursue her BFA in Musical Theatre at Florida State University.
Some of her favorite credits include: Dance Captain of Sideshow, featured ensemble member & Sad Little Egg of Something Rotten and Sandy Cheeks in Spongebob.
