Willibald Adrian Metzger is supposed to restore the interior of a dance theater in Graz. But then the lead actress and, shortly thereafter, the understudy of the current production suddenly die. Metzger isn't the only one who finds this strange.
14 years after the events that led to a mass exodus of its residents which left the town of Braunschlag deserted, its mayor comes up with a cunning plan - from now on, within the towns borders the year is 1986, a return to times long gone.
