Biography

Pritesh Pattanayak (born on 17th May, 2000) is an Actor, Writer and Filmmaker from West Bengal, India. He is known for his works in Hoichoi's TV series BhootTeriki (2025) and a few independent short films like Cage (2021), Rebirth (2020), Innocent (2019) etc. Early Life Pritesh was born on 17 May 2000 and was raised in Panskura, East Medinipur, West Bengal. His father, Alok Pattanayak, is a retired CRPF official, his mother, Mina Pattanayak, is a housewife, and he has an older brother, Ritesh Pattanayak. From a young age, Pritesh developed a keen interest in storytelling and the arts. He attended Bhogpur K.M High School from 2010 to 2016 and continued his education at Panskura Bradley Birt High School from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, he moved to Kolkata to further his studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Calcutta. Career Pritesh launched his career as a filmmaker, actor, and writer with a focus on regional independent storytelling. His debut work, Odol Bodol (2018), introduced him as an actor, writer and director, and he further expanded his repertoire with the short film Innocent (2019), in which he contributed as the writer and director and in 2020, he acted in the short film Rebirth. Continuing his upward trajectory, Pritesh explored new themes and storytelling formats with his 2021 short film, Cage, solidifying his reputation as a versatile talent in West Bengal’s film and media landscape. In addition to his work in films, Pritesh has also been active in the theatre scene in West Bengal, especially in Kolkata since 2018.
