Biography

Born in Queens, NY and raised in Atlanta, Ga, Saidah Nairobi is a self-described "Apple Peach". Growing up in the best of both worlds, her up north edge mixed with southern charm has shaped the performer she's become professionally. Initially studying at Bennett College in North Carolina to become an English teacher, Saidah chose instead to pursue her long-time passion for performing. Since then, Saidah has danced on stages around the world with music heavyweights including Beyonce (I Am World Tour, Formation World Tour), Usher (OMG World Tour), Ne-Yo, and Ciara, and became known over the years as the "dancer with the short blonde hair". Saidah's latest tour was on Beyonce's Formation World Tour and since then she has transitioned into other fields of entertainment including acting, with a recurring role playing dance teacher, Electra, on the television series, Step Up, recording music, and publishing her first work as an author, her dance memoir titled, 'Leap of Faith: The Journey of a Dream.' Living by faith over fear, Saidah Nairobi is dedicated to using her journey in arts and entertainment as an instrument of worldwide inspiration for all to activate faith, put in the work, and make dreams come true.
