They drive through a shortcut in an old road, and when they park in a rest stop, Jess is abducted by the sadistic driver of an old yellow truck. This triggers the many Black fraternities on campus to take a look at what sort of behavior they are encouraging in their members. The houses organize a Step-show in order to do some good in the wake of the tragedy. The film touches upon the history of Black fraternities in the United States.
