Romain, a German professor, and Sara, a young woman, are driving through the south of France. Sara doesn’t say a word, yet she dictates the course of the trip. Andrea realizes that something has happened between her husband and her daughter, but at first she sees no reason—and soon no way—to intervene in this process of longing and desire.
