Immediately following the events of Cybertron Falls: The War Within, Megatron (now dubbed Galvatron) has acquired the Matrix of Leadership and intends to use its power to resurrect the Chaos Bringer, Unicron. The Autobots now find themselves in a desperate race to return to their home planet Cybertron and protect it from Unicron and his forces.

Set during the final hours of the Cybertronian civil war, the story follows Bumblebee, a young Autobot soldier recently drafted into the war. With the Decepticons victorious, the only hope of the Autobots is to escape beyond the stars.

Immediately following the events of Cybertron Falls, Bumblebee and a small group of Autobots are now stranded and separated across the unknown Planet Earth. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime searches for a long lost relic that could aid them in rebuilding Cybertron. Unbeknownst to him however, Megatron also seeks this relic after striking a deal with a great threat - The Chaos Bringer himself.
