This film tells the story of a few uneventful days in the life of six pals. Lali, a great fan of America, owns a sandwich stand on the side of the road, called The Glass Tiger. Gaben pinches cars; Fox is a petty swindler; Sanyi a half-wit homeless; Coco can't shut up about getting some dough and going to America; Slimmy keeps playing the saxophone, despite the others' frayed nerves. Gaben talks Lali into buying an old Chevrolet Impala, the real American dream. After the long escapade of getting the car, Lali doesn't even get the chance to try the Chevvy out, because a truck completely demolishes it. Fox in the meantime is looking excitedly for the "Wreck", what he has been trying to sell for big money. But Lali has sold what he thought to be scrap, not good for anything. Fox is threatened by some tough guys to bring it back or pay up. He has to get money at all costs...

Péter Sóvári is a successful actor and notorious womanizer. Director Lajos Borsai, equally fond of the playboy lifestyle but in dire financial straits, aims to secure his fortune by wooing Mexican soap-opera tycoon Dulcinea de la Rosa as both wife and backer for his script. Their paths collide when both men fall in love with rising star Ibolya.

This is a story of a man who wants to grasp and hold his beloved one by him and a woman who insists on that her love can't be grasped; 'she' only can deliver hers. It has written Comedy, Romance etc... but, this movie doesn't include anything funny, I believe. After I see the movie, I thought that love springs through a one's heart and it has its own spirit. It doesn't have to have any company. The matter is if it coincides its mate; that's it.

In the sequel to the surprise hit Üvegtigris (2001), we witness the 6 losers again as they run amok around the roadside buffet, which again fails to make their dreams come true, but which serves as the basis and end station of numerous funny adventures.

In Pest he is a talented businessman, in Cracow an excellent artist. It is as if there were two people in him. What's more: he is satisfied with both lives. And since he is also an excellent conspirator, until this early morning he has never had to make a choice. But now Bea is pregnant, and would like to marry him...

In December 1956 there is a chaotic situation in Hungary. The revolution is put down by the Soviet army. People leave the country in large numbers for fear of revenge. A disowned son of a Greek aristocrat arrives in Hungary in 1949 over his family’s communist beliefs and starts work in the Lágymányos tobacco factory, where he falls for Gizi Weiss and fathers their first child in 1953. Fifty years later, the now-destitute “Ratkó baby” is whisked from the Baross Square underpass to Crete by a legion of lawyers to claim his share of a legendary inheritance.

Gruber is a normal 16-year-old growing up in Budapest in 1962, but he has a problem -- how does he get to know the opposite sex? At the Sunday afternoon dance classes the young "ladies and gentlemen" hold each other while dancing, and that makes the lessons worth something. The film is made up of two independent episodes, which only have the basic setting in common. The little schoolteacher in Free Saturday, when she wakes up in a hotel room with 100 marks in her handbag, invents the "quickest way" to get to her flat. The newlyweds in The Council Fairy Tale find the "surest way" to an apartment by moving into the council building. There is no doubt then, what is the common default position, the impossibility of getting an apartment...

An unsettling feeling overwhelms a small Hungarian town when two orthodox Jews arrive with a mysterious trunk. Liza unexpectedly walks up to Misu and asks for the bike. But Misu, the selfish bar pianist, has no intention of buying a bike, and Liza won't let him go until he gets his wish.

The subway driver Szabó János is tired of conflicts, that so many other people across the town share the same name, so he decides to kill all of them, that he will be the only one left.
