In 1944, the American military lands on the shores of Saipan. Refusing to commit suicide with his superiors or be forced into camps for prisoners of war, Captain Oba Sakae leads a group of his men and other similarly minded local residents into the mountains. Even after hearing reports of the Japanese military's surrender, Oba dismisses the reports as propaganda and continues to launch guerilla attacks against the American soldiers, earning him the nickname "The Fox". Soon, even the American commander who's charged with the task of capturing Oba comes to admire his persistent enemy.

Five prisoners of war escape captivity in a Confederate prison camp only to land in an uncharted Pacific island where time stands still and dastardly pirates don't take kindly to strangers in director Russell Mulcahy's screen adaptation of fantasy author Jules Verne's literary classic. In Bangkok, construction workers come across a rock which cannot be drilled, and discover dinosaur-like fossils of a creature resembling the Garuda from Thai-Hindu mythology. Two American archeologists investigate, awakening the creature which then goes on a rampage.

During the Civil War five survivors escape from a prison camp in Richmond, Virginia by hot air balloon and find themselves on an uncharted island in the Pacific. Far from any kind of known civilization, the island is inhabited with carnivorous monsters, bloodthirsty pirates, and mad genius Captain Nemo, who lives on the island for his own secretive ends.

Suea and Mook had known each other since young age, they grew up together and had unsaid promise of undyingly loving each other but their separation was inevitable since Mook's father had to move abroad for his career. They eventually got together because Mook had to return to Thailand for a funeral, and it was then that they met after almost 10 years. Their happiness wasn't easily earned, there were many people wanting to take advantage of Suea's fortune, and had to get Mook out of the way.
