Selma, a Czech immigrant on the verge of blindness, struggles to make ends meet for herself and her son, who has inherited the same genetic disorder and will suffer the same fate without an expensive operation. American Scumbags is the second full length feature by Denver auteur filmmaker Dakota Ray. The film is a punk rock themed crime film that features three interconnected stories revolving around heroin addicted drug dealer/hitman Johnny (Dakota Ray), sadistic psychopath convict Billy (Darrien Fawkes) and drug kingpin Chester (Fred Epstein). The film takes the viewer into a seedy underworld where crime and drugs rule.
