Elsie Inglis and the work of the Scottish Women's Hospitals (SWH) are captivating. Elsie and the other women did not conform to the stereotype of women in war. They were operating close to the fighting on both the Western Front and in the Balkans. Also, the SWH's were run entirely and predominantly staffed by women. This meant that there were not only women doctors, rare enough in the early twentieth century but like Elsie, women surgeons.

Dars Films is happy to introduce a new project – “Legends of the Golden Warrior”, which was filmed during July – September 2017 in Kazakhstan. We have produced English and Russian versions for TV commercial (30 sec), short film (2 min) and TV documentary (23 minutes). Later on, TV commercial and the short film was produced in the Kazakh language as well. Legends of the Golden Warrior (30 sec and 2 min) were broadcasted on BBC World News, Euronews and National TV channels in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Jefferson Strong, an American engineer, assumes the German's identity and discovers an underground supply of explosives near the von Krutz farm. By means of a tunnel, the Americans plan to mine the explosives. To save Jacques and a group of children from the munitions factory, however, Jefferson sends them across the American lines through the tunnel, but they lose their way, and he is forced to disable the mine. Jefferson is court-martialed, but King Albert of Belgium, who has befriended little Jacques, intercedes on his behalf. Learning that Karl has been killed, Jefferson pursues his budding romance with Yvonne.

Coward is a 28 minute film set during World War 1 that brings to light some of the brutal treatment soldiers received for suffering what would now be known as shell-shock.
