Set in Mumbai, Nayantara's Necklace explores the friendship between Alka and her new Dubai-returned neighbour Nayantara. As their friendship grows, Alka finds herself wanting to be more like Nayantara. But what Alka doesn't know is the price that she might have to pay for this obsession of hers.

The movie starts with Ajay (Ajay Devgan) telling a boy that he should make his move on a girl he likes. The boy (who is his son) tells him that if he can go woo another older lady, he will tell the girl he likes about his feelings.

Fashion photographer, Vidyut Sehgal has several distractions in his life, namely drugs, alcohol and women. He is also deeply troubled by his dreams in which he sees a mysterious woman posing around a strange shrine.
