Yesterdays

Olappeeppi portrays the story of an ordinary Malayali family and the changes in the socio-economic scene in Kerala from 1970's to the 2000's . As the name suggests, its about colours of the past, taking us to that era along with a boy named Unni and his grandmother.

Set in the near future, a student accidentally discovers old photographs of the same stretch of beach taken by school students over the past 65 years. The temporal distance between the old photos and the protagonist immediately creates a sense of disorientation. In a sort of time loop, we witness successive generations, all drawn to the same thematic focal point.

In the final hours before the New Year strikes, Anna and Zoe step away from the party’s chaos and find themselves connecting over shared cigarettes. Their quick break becomes a quiet, intimate moment where confessions surface, doubts are explored, and the dynamic between them begins to shift.
