On November 25, 1973, the first of four car-free Sundays transformed West Germany's deserted highways into spaces for walking, cycling, and horse-drawn carriages, while towns and cities took on a festive atmosphere. Introduced during the oil crisis to conserve fuel after the Arab oil embargo and production cuts following the Yom Kippur War, the measure became an unforgettable collective experience. Beyond the immediate energy shortage, the crisis marked a turning point, ending the postwar economic boom and encouraging greater awareness of energy use, consumerism, and environmental issues.

On January 6, 2021, Guy Reffitt was among hundreds of Donald Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol to protest Joe Biden's victory in the US presidential election. Shortly thereafter, this Texas father was arrested by the FBI, tried, and imprisoned based on statements made by his son, Jackson, a 19-year-old young adult who watched with horror as his father became radicalized. Over four years, the documentary follows the evolution of this family, which, like the country itself, is torn apart and no longer understands itself.

Mr. Magoo is watching a TV program named "Home Roam" which examines the homes of various families and subsequently learns that he and Waldo have been scheduled to air on tonight's broadcast. Magoo proceeds to show the cameramen the various rooms and exhibits of his house. Unfortunately, his publicity is threatened by a burglar and his trained gorilla who break into Magoo's house and attempt to rob it. Of course, Magoo doesn't notice the gorilla (he even mistakes it for Waldo) and reassures the cameramen that Waldo will be all right even if he does have "the manners of a gorilla".
