Biography

Malcolm X ( May 19, 1925 – February 21, 1965), born Malcolm Little and also known as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz was an African-American Muslim minister, public speaker, and human rights activist.To his admirers, he was a courageous advocate for the rights of African Americans, a man who indicted white America in the harshest terms for its crimes against black Americans. His detractors accused him of preaching racism, black supremacy, antisemitism, and violence. He has been called one of the greatest and most influential African Americans in history, and in 1998, Time named The Autobiography of Malcolm X one of the ten most influential nonfiction books of the 20th century. Malcolm X was born in Omaha, Nebraska. The events of his childhood, including his father's lessons concerning black pride and self-reliance, and his own experiences concerning race played a significant role in Malcolm X's adult life. By the time he was thirteen, his father had died and his mother had been committed to a mental hospital. After living in a series of foster homes, Malcolm X became involved in a number of criminal activities in Boston and New York City. In 1946, Malcolm X was sentenced to eight to ten years in prison. While in prison, Malcolm X became a member of the Nation of Islam, and after his parole in 1952 he became one of the Nation's leaders and chief spokesmen. For nearly a dozen years he was the public face of the controversial group. Tension between Malcolm X and Elijah Muhammad, head of the Nation of Islam, led to Malcolm X's quitting the organization in March 1964. He subsequently traveled extensively throughout Africa and the Middle East and founded Muslim Mosque, Inc., a religious organization, and the secular Organization of Afro-American Unity, which advocated Pan-Africanism. Less than a year after he left the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X was assassinated by three members of the group while giving a speech in New York. The beliefs expressed by Malcolm X changed during his lifetime. As a spokesman for the Nation of Islam he taught black supremacy and deified the leaders of the organization. He also advocated the separation of black and white Americans, which put him at odds with the civil rights movement, which was working towards integration. After he left the Nation of Islam in 1964, Malcolm X became a Sunni Muslim, made the pilgrimage to Mecca and disavowed racism, while remaining a champion of black self-determination, self defense, and human rights. He expressed a willingness to work with civil rights leaders and described his previous position with the Nation of Islam as that of a "zombie". Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Desmond Ng

Biography

Desmond Ng started singing professionally in 2009 and achieved Top 8 in a Taiwan singing and songwriting competition in 2010. With his humble personality and fantastic vocals, he won a strong fan base. Desmond took part in "The Getai Challenge" organized by Mediacorp in 2015. His heart-thumping performances during each stage of the competition not only thrilled the audience but also won him the Championship, beating the rest of the contestants including established Getai industry veterans. In 2016, Desmond began his acting career and acted in 3 dramas. He also ventured in hosting and co-hosted Channel 8’s variety programme “BENGpire”. He was nominated for Best Host and won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award at Star Awards 2017. Desmond also had the opportunity to act in a local movie, Ah Boys to Men1, directed by Jack Neo. Desmond sang many popular television theme songs and this includes 《以刚克刚》which won the Best Theme song at Star Awards 2018. Desmond held his first music showcase with his band AL4HA on 11 November 2018, drawing a fantastic turnout which included fans, media and celebrities. The band was invited to take the stage at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre for Huayi –Chinese Festival of Arts in February 2019. He represented Singapore in the competition organized by Voice of Vietnam in July 2019 and achieved the Most Potential Award at ASEAN+3 Song Contest 2019 held in Vietnam

Christopher Murney

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Christopher Murney (born July 20, 1943) is an American actor and vocal artist. He is the father of singer and actress Julia Murney. Murney attended several universities before picking up several undergraduate degrees (in Business Administration, Speech, and in Drama), and one graduate level degree (Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Pennsylvania State University). Murney has worked on the stage, in television series, and in movies. In television, he appeared as Buck Miller in 1994 and in 2001 on the soap opera One Life to Live, as Buddy in 1977 The San Pedro Beach Bums, and starred as Mackie Bloom in the first three seasons of Remember WENN. In the movies, Murney has appeared in such films as 1985's The Last Dragon as Eddie Arcadian, 1986's Maximum Overdrive, 1987's The Secret of My Success, 1990's Loose Cannons, and in 1991's Barton Fink. He played Hanrahan in the 1977 film Slap Shot, where he beats up Paul Newman on the ice. His voice can be heard as Chester Cheetah for Cheetos and most recently (2006) in the popular video games, as Dwayne from VCPR New World Order talk radio in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories by Rockstar Games, and as Black Garius, the bad guy, in Neverwinter Nights 2, and as various characters in Red Dead Revolver. Biography

Sondra James (July 21, 1939 - September 12, 2021) was an American sound coordinator and actress. She appeared in films such as the Oscar-winning film Joker (2019), Emma Seligman's directorial debut Shiva Baby (2020), and a very small role in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). She also did ADR voice casting for multiple films such as Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and Mike Nichols' Closer (2004). On September 12th, 2021, she passed away in New York City after a five-month battle with lung cancer.

Mido Hamada (born 1971) is a German-Egyptian actor having played roles in film, theater and television. Hamada attended the Oxford School of Drama. He lives in London, England. His roles include Ahmed Shah Massoud in the television mini-series The Path to 9/11 and smaller roles in the British television series "Hannibal" and "Feel the Force". In 2004, he also played a role in the blockbuster film, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Hamada has most recently finished shooting a film "The Situation" in which he played Zaid, an Iraqi photographer. Hamada appeared in the Fox hit series 24 as Samir Mehran. Samir, a rogue intelligence agent from the fictional Middle-Eastern country of Kamistan attempting to, and later successfully assassinating its elected president, Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor). He served as the season's arch-villain for most of its episodes.

She trained as an actor at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and Stonestreet Studios while attending New York University, where she also studied psychology and film production. She have also trained at The Barrow Group and HB Studio. Since late 2021, she has accrued screen acting credits on a variety of independent projects and three feature films. She began writing for the stage in 2018. Since then, she have written and directed several original plays for festivals in New York City. As a growing artist, she strives to maintain a playful and curious attitude in all areas of life. This philosophy influences her work as a teaching artist. She has created, modified, and implemented drama and screen-acting curricula for children of all ages. Rather than solely emphasising craft or technique, she also focus on developing each child's creative intuition. Her goal is to help young people strengthen their natural curiosity and build trust in themselves.

She also authored two award-winning plays, Angélique and Je me souviens. She appeared in such movies as Another Cinderella Story, Ernest Goes to School, Fantastic Four, Traitor, The Chronicles of Riddick, The Mermaid Chair, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. She has guest starred on programs such as The X-Files, Stargate SG-1, Smallville and Kingdom Hospital. Until August 2005, she starred as Priestess Elosha on the SciFi Channel television program Battlestar Galactica. Her play, Angélique, the story of executed slave Marie-Joseph Angelique, was the winner of the 1995 duMaurier National Playwriting Competition in Canada. Gale's final film role was a librarian in Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins.

Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He is one of the world's best-selling music artists, with sales of over 88 million records. Timberlake is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, including ten Grammy Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, three Brit Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, the Contemporary Icon Award by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
