In the year 1512, two insects embark on an expedition that becomes the adventure of their lives.

A young woman comes down with a mysterious illness that infests upon her stomach.

Dot, an Australian girl, seeks the magical green root that will give her the ability to talk to animals. She eats a red root by mistake, and is shrunk to the size of an ant. With the help of her friends Keeto the mosquito and Butterwalk the caterpillar, she searches for the green root that will restore her size. But she must find it before sundown, or she will shrink even smaller.

On behalf of "oppressed bugs everywhere," an inventive ant named Flik hires a troupe of warrior bugs to defend his bustling colony from a horde of freeloading grasshoppers led by the evil-minded Hopper.

When the young orphan boy James spills a magic bag of crocodile tongues, he finds himself in possession of a giant peach that flies him away to strange lands.

The film shows Shiva in a very traditional representation--in bronze and standing within a circle of bronze flames. Suddenly, a fly lands on Shiva's arm--one of many arms to be exact. Slowly, the bronze statue comes alive and swats the fly--missing again and again and eventually smashing the bronze circle.

Anatomy of a moth

Two insects fight over the hand of a beautiful lady.

The insects have completely taken over Mickey's garden. He spritzes them with insecticide, but runs out and they keep feasting. He mixes a new batch. Meanwhile, Pluto stalks a bug and gets his head stick in a pumpkin. He stumbles around and bumps into Mickey and the sprayer, giving Mickey a faceful of bug juice. He awakens to a warped reality, where the bugs and plants are giant sized, and the bugs get drunk on the insecticide and chase our heroes. Mickey recovers from his nightmare, discovering the giant worm he was wrestling was the hose.

Various members of the insect world join forces to harass a man who unknowingly makes their lives miserable.

An ant colony finds that the strange new food source they've discovered may be something more of a curse than a boon.

A Father Christmas ornament climbs down from a decorated tree, and goes to the forest. There he creates and decorates a Christmas tree for the forest creatures. He then invites all the insects, along with a friendly frog, to come and enjoy the gifts he has prepared, and to celebrate Christmas.

A jilted husband takes his revenge by filming his wife and her lover and showing the result at the local cinema. This was one of Starewicz' first animated films, and stars a cast of animated beetles.

Katy Caterpillar lives in a cherry tree deep in the forest, but she longs to see the wide world. When she finally gets her chance, she meets lots of fascinating characters along the way.

Seemingly at random, the wings and other bits of moths and insects move rapidly across the screen. Most are brown or sepia; up close, we can see patterns within wings, similar to the veins in a leaf. Sometimes the images look like paper cutouts, like Matisse. Green objects occasionally appear. Most wings are translucent. The technique makes them appear to be stuck directly to the film.

After winning a local talent show, the Beat Bugs journey to compete on "The Bug Factor," a televised singing contest held in faraway Rocket Ship Park.

A hungry mosquito spots and follows a man on his way home. The mosquito slips into the room where the man is sleeping, and gets ready for a meal. His first attempts startle the man and wake him up, but the mosquito is very persistent.

A frightened little spider named Webster ventures into the garden. He's a walking encyclopedia of fears and phobias, shocked when the other denizens of the garden seem even more afraid of him than he is of them. His primary coping mechanism consists of praying to God for the courage to fact life in this Christian animated film aimed at young children.
