The English-language title of this Mexican musical was The Third Word. Singer Pedro Infante stars as a pampered young man who is sheltered by his doting aunts. Deciding that their darling boy needs an education, the ladies hire pretty schoolteacher Marga Lopez. Upon discovering that her pupil is 28 years old, Marga is momentarily nonplused, but then settles into her duties. Inevitably, romance blossoms between Pedro and Marga, much to the aunts' dismay.

Teresa has a frayed relationship with her girlfriend Veronica. Teresa's attempts to stay close to her are thwarted, which will lead Teresa to make a decision that will completely change their lives.

The movie starts with Braulio Peláez (Pedro Infante), a schoolteacher, having just fallen off his horse, representing the situation he and his family are in. The next scenes introduce the viewer to his family and their poor financial and social situation. As Braulio stumbles around looking for his glasses, he causes a famous film star, Alfonso de Madrazo (Rafael Alcaide) to crash his car. Braulio offers him to eat at his house as an apology. Braulio's sister and mother, big film fans, immediately recognise Alfonso and attempt to get him to bring the girl, Luisa Peláez (Irma Dolores) to Mexico City to become a film star. Alfonso agrees and tells them to come to the capital.

Pastora de los Reyes is a beautiful Spanish that goes to Mexico with a contract to film a movie. The main actors will receive her at the airport, among them is Paul, a little-known mariachi that has been chosen to become a new idol. Automatically, both had bad relations and during filming many discussions happens. This arguments gives way to a deep love.

Nacho and Memo start working as night watchmen in a Tequila factory. It is a stormy night. As soon as they recognize themselves alone in the middle of the huge industry, they get ready to drink and then they discover an intruder inside the facilities. It is Don Catarino, an old beggar who lives off the mercy of the employees and is the one who warns them that a lost soul usually appears in that factory on stormy nights. He pleads with them to ignore her and not allow her to involve them in her troubles. As soon as he disappears, a woman asks them for help to shelter from the storm.

Salvador accompanied by two friends of his father whom he calls uncles, they arrive at a fair in the village, there he meets Ana. When he wins a bet he is paid with a mortgaged house, to his surprise upon entering the hom he realizes that Ana and her mother live in it, provoking a funny entanglement with an explosive final.
