UFC Fight Night 3: Sylvia vs. Silva was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on January 16, 2006. The event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was broadcast live on Spike TV in the United States and Canada. The main event between Tim Sylvia and Assuerio Silva was touted as a match to determine the next contender for the UFC Heavyweight Championship, then held by Andrei Arlovski.

WEC 36: Faber vs. Brown took place on November 5, 2008 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The event aired live on the Versus Network. Paulo Filho fought again against Chael Sonnen in the main event of the evening. WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber also put his belt on the line against Mike Brown.

UFC 53: Heavy Hitters was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on June 4, 2005, at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Andrei Arlovski puts his interim Heavyweight Championship on the line against Justin Eilers. The undercard features a rematch for the UFC Middleweight Championship as Champion Evan Tanner defends this title against Rich Franklin. UFC 91: Couture vs. Lesnar was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on November 15, 2008, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event featured the return of UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture versus WWE's Brock Lesnar in a title bout. The decision to grant Lesnar—who was 1–1 in UFC fights at the time—the title shot was controversial at the time. Some felt it was premature and marketing driven, while others argued the relative lack of depth in the heavyweight division at the time left no clear-cut contenders to the belt.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell makes his first title defense against the man who handed him his first ever defeat – Jeremy Horn. The undercard features the return of Randy "The Natural" Couture, the UFC debut of The Ultimate Fighter winner Diego Sanchez, and a highly anticipated welterweight match-up between Georges St. Pierre and Frank Trigg.

UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on November 13, 2010 at König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany. Vitor Belfort was set to face Yushin Okami in the main event, with the winner receiving a middleweight title shot. However, on September 21, 2010, Belfort withdrew from the fight to face Anderson Silva. Nate Marquardt ended up fighting Yushin Okami in the main event, which would still determine the next #1 contender.

DREAM.16 took place on September 25, 2010, at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan, promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group’s DREAM. The main event features Gegard Mousasi facing Tatsuya Mizuno in the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix final to crown the first DREAM Light Heavyweight Champion, with Mousasi coming off a submission win over Jake O’Brien and Mizuno advancing via TKO against Melvin Manhoef at DREAM.15. Other key bouts include Shinya Aoki vs. Marcus Aurelio, Jason Miller vs. Kazushi Sakuraba, and Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Chase Beebe. The event marks DREAM’s final MMA show of 2010 before Dynamite!!, featuring 10 bouts in a ring.

UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008 was a mixed martial arts event by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held on December 27, 2008 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event featured number-one contender Rashad Evans fighting the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin.

WEC 53: Henderson vs. Pettis was a mixed martial arts event held by World Extreme Cagefighting that took place on December 16, 2010 at Jobing.com Arena in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona. The event was the first time that Zuffa has hosted an event in Arizona. This was the final WEC event before merging with UFC in 2011.

The third night of G1 Climax 24 took place on July 25, 2014, at the Yamagata City General Sports Center in Yamagata, Japan, and was headlined by a Block B match between Kazuchika Okada and Togi Makabe.

UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck 2 was a mixed martial arts pay-per-view event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on December 11, 2010 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

WEC 34: Faber vs. Pulver was a mixed martial arts event held by World Extreme Cagefighting that took place on June 1, 2008 at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. The main event, announced on WEC 33, was a bout between Jens Pulver and Urijah Faber for WEC Featherweight Championship. WEC 34 was aired live on Versus.
