When a man (Patrick Lizana) leaves his apartment, he intends to take a captured spider and release it back into the wild. Unfortunately for him, a gust of wind closes his door and so he has to descend to the ground floor where he hopes to carry out his task and get a spare key from the building’s caretaker. Snag? Well the front door won’t open, the caretaker doesn’t answer and it seems that despite availing himself of a variety of different-sounding doorbells he cannot manage to find anyone to help. Maybe now getting into the lift wasn’t his best idea? I quite enjoyed this, even if I did clock what was likely going on from quite early, and it benefits from a lack of all but the most natural of audio as it progresses with just an hint of dead-pan intrigue for five minutes. More proof that no good deed goes unpunished.
