It became a folk tale of oral transmission until it was written by different authors. The documentary goes through looking for what's really and what's about legend.

Bookended by short commentary from the band's lead singer Jonny Foster, 'Hardwicke Circus: The Prison Gig' is an uplifting ode to the power and necessity of art, even for those that society have deemed not to deserve it.

As Rowwen Hèze prepares for their biggest home show ever, celebrating their fortieth anniversary, the dynamics between the band members are revealed.
