Paul Soles

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Paul Robert Soles (11 August 1930 - 26 May 2021) was a Canadian actor and television personality. He was best known as the original voice of Hermey the misfit elf in Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in 1964. Soles voiced the Bruce Banner character in the 1966 Incredible Hulk cartoon series. He also voiced fellow Marvel superhero Spider-Man in the animated television series also from the late 1960s, and he played "The Lawbreaker" on the CBC panel quiz show This Is the Law in the 1970s, and played Costas Stavros on the Canadian soap opera Riverdale. In 2001, he took over the role of Shylock the Jew in the Stratford Festival of Canada production of The Merchant of Venice after Al Waxman, who was originally scheduled to play the part, died. Soles played Stanley the pizza shop owner in The Incredible Hulk. He also played Danny, the Montréal Customs House janitor in the 2001 crime thriller, The Score.

Robert Bresson

Robert Bresson (25 September 1901 – 18 December 1999) was a French film director. Known for his ascetic approach, Bresson contributed notably to the art of cinema; his non-professional actors, ellipses, and sparse use of scoring have led his works to be regarded as preeminent examples of minimalist film. Bresson is among the most highly regarded filmmakers of all time. He has the most number (seven) of films in the Top 250 list of greatest films ever made published by Sight and Sound in 2012. His works A Man Escaped (1956), Pickpocket (1959) and Au hasard Balthazar (1966) were ranked among the 100 greatest films ever made in the 2012 Sight & Sound critics' poll. Other films of his, such as Mouchette (1967) and L'Argent (1983), also received many votes. Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Ken McLeod is an American Actor, Born in Duluth Minnesota, October 31, 1962 He graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1981. Move to Utah where he trained at the Bob Borrow Karate Studio, under Champion Martial Artist, Mr. Chip Wright. Ken tested and earned his Black Belt in Karate from Chuck Norris. Throughout his training, Ken completed on the open karate circuit winning dozens of Regional, State and National tournaments. Ken moved to Hollywood California in 1986 at which time he started pursuing his acting career. Ken started off with bit parts in several soap operas, then got his first lead movie role in 1989, starring in "Trained to Fight". Ken continue acting in films, i.e., Showdown, Deadly Target, Guardian Angel, Virtual Combat, Double Dragon and more.

Arnis Līcītis (January 8, 1946 – January 21, 2022) was a Latvian actor. Born in Riga in 1946, Līcītis was the son of actors Alfrēds Videnieks and Helga Līcīte. He attended secondary school at Riga State Gymnasium No.1 and subsequently graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. He became an actor in the troupes of the Latvian National Theatre, the Valmiera Drama Theatre, the Latvijas PSR Valsts Jaunatnes teātris, and the Riga Russian Theatre. Jiří Štěpnička, by his own name Jiří Samec (* 16 April 1947 London) is a Czech actor. He is the son of Czech actress Jiřina Štěpničková and a drawing professor from Strakonice Jan Samka, for whom Jiřina Štěpničková married shortly before the son's birth. The place of his birth was given English citizenship, and he received five names in baptism according to his godparents: Jiří Jan Jaroslav Martin Otto.
