Osaka, Japan's Shonen Knife perform a blazing set of their favorites from their nearly 3 decade reign as Japan's first name in Indie Rock exports. Recorded live on their 2009 "Super Group" Tour of North America, the band performs the final show of the tour at Buffalo, NY's Mohawk Place. Highlights include an encore performance by original SK member Atsuko, 18 songs from their extensive catalog, tunes such as Giant Kitty, Antonio Baka Guy and Bear Up Bison, as well as selections from their recently released "Super Group" album.

"Hey, kids, let's get together and put on a show!" That's the idea behind this raucous spoof about a vaudeville performer who's sent to college to spy on his bratty son.

Guitarist John Abercrombie combines bop and free jazz stylistic elements with electronics utilizing phase shifters, guitar synthesizers and the good old volume pedal. What has kept his playing fresh is his refusal to be chained by these digital devices. As he told Down Beat writer Bill Milkowski, "I try to adjust my playing to the timbre and learn something about how to play that sound, yet at the same time I have to try and force the instrument to play with me a little bit. In other words, I sometimes try to overplay the instrument." SOLOS: THE JAZZ SESSIONS spotlights unaccompanied performances by some of the legends and bright young stars of the jazz world. Designed and recorded specifically for television, SOLOS offers viewers front row seats for an intimate and unique jazz experience.

The beautiful princess Snow White has been living with her aunt, the vain queen, since the death of her parents. The queen does everything she can to be the most beautiful in the land. Every day, she asks her enchanted mirror who the fairest of them all is. One day, the mirror replies that it is no longer the queen, but Princess Snow White who is the fairest in the land! Enraged, the queen orders her huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and make sure no one ever sees her again. Alone and abandoned, Snow White is left behind in the woods. What will happen to her now? And could the inhabitants of that little cottage in the forest perhaps help her?
