In the year 2204, the Earth has become a dystopian wasteland. In order to maintain strict population levels, any newborn is only permitted to live if another person's life is traded in and a receipt issued. Edward K. Wehling, Jr. sits in Chicago Lying-In Hospital waiting for the birth of his triplets, except he has no receipts to collect them.

You'll see as we dive into the mind and footage filmed by 'Johnny', an alcoholic who slowly witnesses the deterioration of his Mum, diagnosed with stomach cancer. Can he do it? Should he?

This is a short film created for an English/Language Arts class. It is based on Stephen King's short story "The Last Rung on the Ladder".

A novelist comes to haunted house and starts writing story on the ghost named Bhargavi. The novelist understands the cruel death of Bhargavi and her lover.

Set in a small-town hospital, the film tells the story of the great suffering of a small rascal, nicknamed “Lies and Steals“, who promises his little partner that he will bring St Nicholas - a traditional figure of Czech Advent - to the hospital room. He fails to keep this promise, his efforts being thwarted several times by the pedantic head nurse, who is called the Old Goat. In the course of the plot, the strained relationships between the three adults - the alcoholic Dr. Koníček, the head nurse and the young nurse Pipka - are revealed, all burdened with various resentments, false illusions and disappointed hopes. Despite all the conflicts, and as if by a miracle, there is a kind moment of extraordinary emotional understanding at the end, and Nicholas finally appears in the hospital.

The story of an unhappy, childless princess, her loving husband and the poor villagers threatened by a terrible disease, who finally received help from above.

The story of the television film takes place in the picturesque scenery of the Slovak mountains, amidst beautiful nature. It is a balladic story about the relationship of two young people, about human dreams, desires, and passions.

A young widow with two children, a member of the spa orchestra, with the help of the devoted friends and the understanding of her children, she manages, quite well, with her demanding "double". The problems arise when he succeeds in a prestigious audition for the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and then he will go on a long foreign tour.

The production is based on the famous novella of the same name by M. Kukučín. The author knew his characters well, their joys, pains and desires, and his knowledge and human message are still valid today.
