Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Libertad Lamarque (November 24, 1908 – December 12, 2000) was an Argentine actress and singer, one of the icons of the Golden Age of Argentine and Mexican cinema. She achieved fame throughout Latin America, and became known as “La Novia de América” (“The Sweetheart of the Americas”). By the time she died in 2000, she had appeared in 65 films (21 filmed in Argentina, 45 in Mexico and one in Spain) and six soap operas, had recorded over 800 songs and had made innumerable theatrical appearances.

Biography

Meghan starred in the South African feature film "Cut- Out Girls" written and directed by award winning writer and actress Nicola Hannekom. It premiered at the Silwerskerm Film Festival in Cape Town in 2018 as well as the Cape Town International Film Festival that same year. It then went on to screen at the Rapid Lion Film Festival in Johannesburg in 2019 and later that year released in cinemas nationwide throughout South Africa. It has recently been released on DSTV Box Office and is available to rent throughout South Africa. It has also been nominated for a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for best editing. Meghan also went on to play the part of a environmentalist reporter in Asylum's "Monster Island" alongside Eric Roberts and Toshi Toda (2019).

Sara Hjort Ditlevsen is a Danish actress. She got her breakthrough in the role of Katrin in the TV Show Performances. In 2010 she was nominated for the Bodil Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and in 2013 she received the Bodil Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in Excuse Me. Ditlevsen's mother is a school teacher and her father is a physicist. She has two sisters, Amalie and Lea. Ditlevsen lived with her family in a commune until the age of 15. Bensu Soral (born 23 March 1991) is a Cypriot-Turkish actress. She studied at İnegöl Anatolian High School in Bursa. She is still studying graphic at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts. She played in youth series "Boynu Bükükler" alongside Çağlar Ertuğrul, Öznur Serçeler. In 2015, she acted alongside Şükrü Özyıldız, Dilan Çiçek Deniz, Büşra Develi, Alperen Duymaz, Beste Kökdemir, Burak Deniz and Melisa Şenolsun in the TV series Tatlı Küçük Yalancılar adaptation of 'Pretty Little Liars'. Later in 2016, she played the role of Melek in crime series İçerde opposite to Çağatay Ulusoy. In 2018 she made her film debut in franchise comedy Organize İşler 2: Sazan Sarmalı alongside Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Ezgi Mola and Yılmaz Erdoğan. She is set to play a leading role in the Iranian-Turkish film Mest-i Aşk alongside İbrahim Çelikkol, Selma Ergeç, Shahab Hosseini, Parsa Pirouzfar, Hande Erçel and Boran Kuzum.

Rupert Julian

Biography

​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Rupert Julian (25 January 1879 – 27 December 1943) was the first New Zealand cinema actor, director, writer and producer. Born Thomas Percival Hayes in Whangaroa, New Zealand, Son of John Daly Hayes (JNR)and Eliza Harriet Hayes. Rupert Julian performed on stage and in film both in his native country and Australia before emigrating to the United States in 1911, where he started his career as an actor in Universal silent movies. He turned to directing in 1915, often directing his wife Elsie Jane Wilson, but his work was merely routine until he was assigned to complete Merry-Go-Round in 1923 when director Erich von Stroheim was fired from it. In 1924, he directed Lon Chaney in the first cut of The Phantom of the Opera, which was largely revisited at the request of the production. He soon fell into a professional decline after the advent of sound, and after directing The Cat Creeps and Love Comes Along (both in 1930), his career faded. Rupert Julian died in Hollywood, California at the age of 64 and was interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California. Helen Traubel

Helen Francesca Traubel (June 16, 1899 – July 28, 1972) was an American opera and concert singer. A dramatic soprano, she was best known for her Wagnerian roles, especially those of Brünnhilde and Isolde. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, she began her career as a concert singer and went on to sing at the Metropolitan Opera from 1937 to 1953. Starting in the 1950s, she also developed a career as a nightclub and cabaret singer as well as appearing in television, films and musical theatre. Traubel spent her later years in Santa Monica, California, where she died at the age of 73. Henry Victor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Henry Victor (2 October 1892 – 15 March 1945) was an English-born character actor. Raised in Germany, Victor is probably best remembered for his portrayal of the strongman Hercules in Tod Browning's 1932 film Freaks. He originally was a leading figure in UK silent films. Later in his career, he mostly portrayed villains or Nazis in both American and British films with his trademark German accent. He died at 52 of a brain tumor. He is buried in Chatsworth, California's at the Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery. Vasilis Diamantopoulos

Biography

Vasilis Diamantopoulos (15 November 1920 – 5 May 1999) was a Greek actor. He was one of the founders of the Modern Theater and was the first actor to appear live on Greek television in the single act play "Him and his pants" of Iakovos Kambanellis in 1966. His most characteristic role was that of the austere professor in Giannis Dalianidis' movie Law 4000 and later in shorts including Ekmek Ice Cream in private TV. He was born in Piraeus and studied at Athens Law and at the National Theatre's Dramatic schools as well as Coon Art School. He ran together along with Maria Alkeou in 1956 at the New Theatre/Theater and in 1993 at the Different Theatre. He returned to Greece from Paris in 1970 and took part in several different companies, he also took part at the Public Theatre of Northern Greece. He also participated in many film and television productions, oppositely took part at the Dramatic Schools at the National Theatre and at Art School. His last years was a member of a hypocrite art factory for young actors. He died in Athens in 1999 from a heart attack at the Athens General Clinic due to his head fracture at the left femur which triggered from the fall. He is buried at the First Athens Cemetery. He was married twice, firstly to the actress Tonia Karali with whom he had a daughter and secondly to the actress Marina Georgiou with whom he had a son.
