Nick Dudman

Biography

Nick Dudman and his team created the makeup effects and the magical animatronic creatures ( and the CG scanning models ) in all of the Harry Potter films, garnering BAFTA nominations for the first four in the series, and also for the seventh. The final installment, “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows-Part 2” earned him an Oscar nomination for best makeup as well as another BAFTA nomination. In 2006 Nick Dudman was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 2007 he was presented with the Canadian Genie Award for Special Achievement in Makeup for Beowulf and Grendel. Dudman got his start in films working on the Jedi master Yoda, as a trainee to British makeup artist Stuart Freeborn, on the second in the Star Wars series – The Empire Strikes Back. After apprenticing with Freeborn for four years on films such as Superman II and Top Secret!, Dudman was asked to head up the English makeup prosthetics shop for Ridley Scott’s Legend, applying Tim Curry’s “Darkness” makeup amongst others. Subsequently, he has worked on Mona Lisa, High Spirits, Willow, Interview With the Vampire, Batman (creating Jack Nicholson’s Joker) and Judge Dredd among many others. In 1995, his career path widened into animatronics and large scale creature effects when he was asked to oversee the creature department for the Luc Besson film The Fifth Element, for which he won a BAFTA for best Visual Effects. Since then he has supervised the creatures / makeup effects departments on a series of blockbusters including Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Having completed the ten-year challenge of the Harry Potter franchise, Nick is looking for yet more creative challenges and expanding his role to make most use of his unique experience. His latest work includes Paddington and all three seasons of Penny Dreadful, Showtime’s gothic horror series, which have garnered two BAFTA Craft award nominations for Best Makeup with a win for season one, three EMMY Nominations, one for each season, and two Hollywood Guild of Makeup Artists and Hairdressers nominations for Best Special Effects Makeup. He has also supervised the installation of creatures at The Making of Harry Potter Tour at Warner Bros Leavesden Studios. The Creature Shop section of the tour houses a permanent display of the work created by Nick and his teams over the entire Harry Potter series. His latest finished project is as the Makeup Effects Designer on Seasons One and Two of Legendary’s “Carnival Row”and as Makeup Effects Designer on Seasons One and Two of Sony’s “The Wheel of Time”. In 2013 he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Arts University, Bournemouth, and in 2022, he received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bolton. Nick Dudman is currently developing Julian May’s “The Saga of the Exiles” as a Television series.

Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Michael Aronov

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Michael Aronov is an American actor and playwright. He played the character Schlatko in the 2001 film Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Aronov received The Elliot Norton Award — Best Actor, for originating the lead role in Mauritius at The Huntington Theatre. In 2009 he played Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire at the English Theater in Germany. His one-man show called Manigma was produced in New York City in 2006 and opens again in January 2010 at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row in NYC. Aronov has worked with Terrence McNally on the world premiere of Unusual Acts of Devotion in Philadelphia. Previously he was in Los Angeles under the direction of Estelle Parsons in Salome, starring Al Pacino. Aronov has worked with Oleg Tabakov of The Moscow Art Theatre, Joseph Chaikin, Lee Grant, and others. At the Studio he also portrayed Knut in Strindberg’s Playing with Fire, directed by Lee Grant and then Jean in another Strindberg classic, Miss Julie at the Cherry Lane Theatre. He played opposite Annabella Sciorra in MCC's production of Spain at the Lucille Lortel Theatre; Dionysus in The Bacchae 2.1; and Edgar in an award-winning production of King Lear. On television Aronov has been seen in Life on Mars, Lipstick Jungle, Without a Trace, Threat Matrix, and The Closer. He made several appearances in the Law & Order franchise, worked with the late Bruno Kirby in Barry Levinson's The Beat, among various episodes on Spin City, The Game and All My Children. His film work includes Amexicano, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and two Sundance Film Festival favorites: Hedwig & the Angry Inch and the upcoming Lbs. He has been honored nationally with a Level 1 Award for Acting by the NFAA in association with the ARTS; an IRNE Award nomination for best supporting actor, MA; The Greer Garson Award in Dallas, TX; and in culmination of his work he was the recipient of The Individual Grant Award by the Belle Foundation, "exhibiting exceptional talent and potential for achievement in the arts."

Gong Seung-Yeon, born Yoo Seung-Yeon, is a South Korean actress. She initially trained as a singer for seven years under the company SM Entertainment but left after losing interest in singing. She made her tv debut in 2012 with I Love Lee Tae-Ri. She has also worked in music videos, show hosting, and as an honorary ambassador in 2014 for the Korean National Tuberculosis Association and in 2016 for the 8th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival. Milo Cawthorne

Biography

Born and raised in Whangarei, New Zealand, Milo Cawthorne developed a love for acting at a young age and participated in several productions in the local community theatre. But his talents took him further than just his hometown as he began appearing in several children's television shows, even starring in "P.E.T. Detectives" (2003) as Evan. Still, he made his home on stage and even performed as part of New Zealand's Young Shakespeare Company at the Globe Theatre in London. After unsuccessfully attempting to enroll in drama school and working as a pizza delivery boy for about a year, Cawthorne landed the role of bumbling ex-cartel member Ziggy Grover, Ranger Operator Series Green, on "Power Rangers RPM" (2009), which gave him exposure to a much larger audience than what he had been used to. Following this, he returned to the stage and participated in several theatre productions, including "The History Boys" (2009) with the Peach Theatre Company, and "360" (2010) for the New Zealand International Arts Festival. He also appeared in an episode of the miniseries "Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud" (2011). In late 2011, Cawthorne moved to Los Angeles, California to begin filming the independent horror feature "Blood Punch" (2013), which premiered at the 20th annual Austin Film Festival in October 2013 and won the Audience Award in the Dark Matters horror/thriller category. He has also appeared in several short films, including "Andy" (2011), "Mae and Ash" (2012), and "I Love L.A." (2013). Since then, Cawthorne has moved back to New Zealand and reprised his role as Young Gee in "360: A Theatre of Recollections" (2014). He will soon appear in a leading role in the New Zealand-produced television miniseries "When We Go To War" (2014), as well as the Auckland Theatre Company production of "Once On Chunuk Bair" (2014).

Mick Ford

Mick Ford (born 1 August 1952; in Croydon, Surrey, England, United Kingdom) is a British actor, screenwriter and playwright, best known for his portrayal of intellectual convict Archer in the cinema version of Scum. He also played Chico Barnes in the TV series based on the Dick Francis racing thrillers. Ford was educated at John Ruskin Grammar School, Croydon, and was a member of the National Youth Theatre, along with appearing in the premiere of The Secret Rapture. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Birol Ünel (born 18 August 1961) was a Turkish-German actor who played in German and Turkish films, television, and theatrical productions. His name, "Birol", means "unique" in Turkish. Ünel was born in Mersin in southern Turkey. In 1968, his family moved to Brinkum near Bremen in Germany. He studied acting at Hanover Conservatory. Ünel began as a theatre actor at the Berliner Tacheles where he played the lead and also directed the play "Caligula". Ünel made his film debut in 1988's The Passenger. He played a private detective in the film Dealer which he followed up with a role in Fatih Akın's Im Juli. Birol then acted in the award winning Gegen die Wand as Cahit Tomruk. He won the German film prize for best actor for this role. His latest films have been Transylvania, Seven Heroes and Soul Kitchen. Ünel also acted in the hit Turkish film Hırsız var! in 2005.
