The social democrats of the sixties and seventies worked on their grand plan to build a highway network in Germany that every German citizen could reach within five minutes of their home. The little film hangs around between and on the streets of this network - where the country discos, pedestrian zones, shopping centers, hospitals and roads home are behind noise barriers.

The lives of Jaipong dancers who persistently uphold tradition amidst economic pressures and changing times. Through their moving bodies and distinctive voices in traditional performing arts, these women dance not only for the stage but also to survive. Their voices, whether vocal expressions, soft utterances, or sinden singing, serve as the living spirit and "voice" that sustain and preserve their cultural heritage. Made primarily using 35mm black & white stills film, which was developed and scanned at home, the film explores themes of memories, nostalgia, and our relationship to still and moving image and how those two mediums differ in regards to how we process the passing of time.
