J.A. Preston

James Allen Preston Sr. (born November 13, 1932) is an American actor. Preston is best known for his role as Ozzie Cleveland on the NBC primetime television series Hill Street Blues which originally aired from 1981 until 1987. Preston was born November 13 (1932) in Washington, D.C. In addition to his role on Hill Street Blues, Preston is also known for his roles as Leo Daltry in Dallas, Richard Matthews in Santa Barbara, court-martial judge Col. J. A. Randolph, USMC in the 1992 film A Few Good Men, and the minor but important role of a USAF Major General in Air Force One (1997). He was a series regular in the short-lived CBS sitcom All's Fair which ran just one season (1976-77). In it he played an assistant to conservative newspaper columnist Richard Barrington (played by Richard Crenna). Preston also appeared on the NBC television series The A-Team as a judge (Col. Thomas Milo) presiding over a military tribunal convened to try the A-Team. He also appeared in 3 episodes of Martin as Gina’s (Tisha Campbell-Martin) father Dr. Cliff Waters.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Pat Tillman

Biography

Patrick Daniel "Pat" Tillman Jr. was an American professional football player who left his career with the NFL to enlist in the United States Army in June 2002 following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He joined the Army Rangers and served several tours in combat before he was killed in the mountains of Afghanistan. The Army initially reported that Tillman had been killed by enemy fire, but the actual cause of his death was later revealed to be from friendly fire. In 2007, the Pentagon released a report ruling Pat Tillman's death as accidental. Tillman was posthumously awarded Purple Heart and Silver Star medals.

Ahmed Sylla

Biography

Ahmed Sylla (born 10 March 1990) is a French comedian and actor. In 2017, he received acclaim for his role in the film The Climb. Sylla's family originates from Senegal. He grew up on the Dervallières housing estate in Nantes and started to like theatre and comedy, motivated by his family who got him started. Sylla draws inspiration from leading French figures Louis de Funès, Raymond Devos and Coluche, as well as Canadian artists such as Michel Courtemanche and Jim Carrey, whose humour is based on their body language. In 2010, he joined the Samba Show and performed in prestigious concert halls such as the Casino de Paris and the Bobino theatre. In 2011, he went to a casting for the Laurent Ruquier's TV show On n'demande qu'à en rire (literally, "all we ask is to laugh") on France 2 (French channel). After being selected, first as Ahmed Sarko, he found his feet. He achieved celebrity in France by creating scenarios where he dresses up as crazy characters. In 2012, he presented his first one-man show "A mes délires!" In 2016 he toured a new one-man show, "Ahmed Sylla avec un grand A". Max Pomeranc (pronounced Pomerantz; born March 21, 1984) is an American former child actor. Born in New York City, New York, his mother, Marion Hess Pomeranc, is an author, and his father, Abe Pomeranc, is a stock broker. He made his acting debut at the age of eight, playing the lead in the film Searching for Bobby Fischer, based on the childhood of International Master Josh Waitzkin. At the time Pomeranc appeared in the film, he was also one of the USA's top 20 chess players in his age group. Pomeranc next starred in the 1995 movie Fluke. Tara Strohmeier was an attractive, appealing, and energetic actress who worked with pleasing regularity in entertainingly trashy 1970's drive-in exploitation fare. With her cute face, curly mass of frizzy dark hair, smoldering blue eyes, buxom, shapely figure, engagingly sweet'n'sassy upbeat personality, and boundless vitality, the alluring brunette was a substantial and delightful asset to any given film she appeared in. Tara gave a hilarious performance as aspiring B-flick starlet Jill McBain in the uproarious "Hollywood Boulevard." Other notable roles include an enticing teenager in "The Student Teachers," a saucy prostitute in the exciting blaxploitation blast "Truck Turner," a foxy model in "Cover Girl Models," and Claudia Jennings' sister in the terrific "The Great Texas Dynamite Chase." Strohmeier also had a memorably sexy bit in the sidesplitting sketch comedy hoot "The Kentucky Fried Movie." Tara appeared in three films for director Jonathan Kaplan and often acted in movies for Roger Corman's prolific grindhouse studio New World Pictures. Moreover, Strohmeier acted in the enjoyable comedy features "Malibu Beach" and "Van Nuys Blvd." for the rival exploitation outfit Crown International Pictures. Alas, following her bit part in the made-for-TV thriller "11th Victim" Tara suddenly stopped acting. She now lives in Orange County, California.

Toshishiro Obata

Biography

Toshishiro Obata is the founder of Shinkendo. He is well known in Japan as a tameshigiri champion for several years in a row and is an authorized shitoka. He studied aikido under Gozo Shioda in the Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo, and studied the sword arts of Nakamura-ryu, Ioriken Battojutsu, Toyama-ryu, Yagyu Shinkage-ryu, Kashima Shin-ryu, Ryukyu Kobudo, and others. He moved to America in 1980 to start teaching and to develop his own sword art, based on his extensive experience. In 1990, the International Shinkendo Federation was officially established. The federation has grown to 80 branches internationally, and continues to expand. Obata, as the founder of the school, is referred to as Obata Kaiso by his students, and continues to travel across the globe to hold seminars for his students around the world. Since 1986, Obata has appeared in several Hollywood films.

Alex Briley

Alexander Briley (born April 12, 1951) is an American singer who was the original "G.I." in the disco recording act Village People. Alex Briley was born in Harlem, New York City, in 1951, the son of a Christian minister. Raised in Harlem and later Mount Vernon, New York, Briley sang in church from an early age and studied voice at the University of Hartford. Briley had two brothers, Timothy and Jonathan. Briley was introduced to producer/composer Jacques Morali by Village People member Victor Willis. He originally performed in jeans and a T-shirt, but he took the role of a soldier for the album Cruisin' in 1978, and appeared as a sailor when the group recorded In the Navy in 1979. Alex Briley's younger brother, Jonathan (1958–2001), worked as an audio engineer at Windows on the World on the 106th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center and perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. In 2005, Jonathan was speculated by several people to be The Falling Man – the figure depicted in an iconic photo of a man falling to his death from the North Tower. He was one of an estimated 100–200 people who died on 9/11 either by jumping from, falling from, or being pushed out of the upper stories of the Twin Towers.
