Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. André Téchiné

André Téchiné (born 13 March 1943) is a French screenwriter and film director. He has a long and distinguished career that places him among the most accomplished post-New Wave French film directors. Téchiné belongs to a second generation of French film critics associated with Cahiers du cinéma who followed François Truffaut, Claude Chabrol, Jean-Luc Godard and others from criticism into filmmaking. He is noted for his elegant and emotionally charged films that often delve into the complexities of emotions and the human condition. One of Téchiné's trademarks is the lyrical examination of human relations in a sensitive but unsentimental way, as can be seen in his most acclaimed films: My Favorite Season (1993) and Wild Reeds (1994). In his films he addresses various themes related to morality and the development of modern society, such as homosexuality, divorce, adultery, family breakdown, prostitution, crime, drug addiction or AIDS. Biography

Flula Borg is a German techno DJ, engineer, actor, and YouTube personality who is better known as DJ Flula or simply Flula. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Borg appeared in the film Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) as a part of the German a cappella group Das Sound Machine. Borg co-starred in Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), as the leader of a German a cappella group competing against the Bellas in an international competition. He will also appear in WWE Films' Killing Hasselhoff, which features such actors as Ken Jeong, Hulk Hogan, and David Hasselhoff. This film is set to be released in 2015. Flula regularly posts videos on YouTube and his channel has amassed over 600,000 subscribers and 70 million total views since its launch in 2007. Some of his most popular videos are his vlogs, most notably "Jennifer is a Party Pooper", and his AutoTunes series, in which he records cover songs live in his car. Anisha Nagarajan (born May 21, 1983) is an American actress and singer. She was born to Hindu parents, she has a brother named Arjun. She grew up in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood and later moved with her family to the suburb of Fox Chapel, where she graduated from the local high school in 2002. She subsequently enlisted at NYU. While he was studying at NYU, she was chosen to play Priya in the musical's Broadway "Bombay Dreams"; and after working in this work, he was seen in several theater productions regional as "Rent" and "The Wiz", among others. Before the cameras, she made her debut in 2006 when she participated in the drama "Hope and a Little Sugar". Then she was seen in the short "The Trident" (2007), which was followed by a participation as guest in "Ugly Betty" (2009), and from 2010 can be seen in the skin of Madhuri in 'Outsourced' NBC series. In regards to her personal life, she is married to actor Aalok Mehta, whom she had met when she worked in "Bombay Dreams".

Latha Hegde is a New Zealand born Indian actress who is noted for her work in the South Indian film industry, especially in the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films. Having started her career as a model, in 2014, Hedge participated in the Ms India NZ competition and her dance performance, which illustrated the independence of females was well received and appreciated. After completing her degree in International Marketing and Management from the University of Auckland, she went on to pursue her MBA. She then got an offer to feature in Telugu film, which she accepted and made her debut on the silver screen with Tuntari (2016). Her other film credits include Oh Andha Naatkal (2016), and Athiratha (2017), a Kannada action thriller directed by Mahesh Babu. Dennis Flemion

Biography

Dennis Flemion (June 6, 1955 – July 7, 2012) was a founding member, with his younger brother Jimmy, of the controversial independent rock band the Frogs. He was the primary percussionist for the band and was also a temporary member of the Smashing Pumpkins from 1996 to 1997, filling in on live keyboards following the death of Jonathan Melvoin. The Flemion brothers also appeared on "Medellia of the Gray Skies" on the band's single for "Tonight, Tonight". On Adore, the brothers backed vocals for "To Sheila" and "Behold! The Night-Mare".

Jonas Mekas

Biography

Jonas Mekas was born in 1922 in the farming village of Semeniškiai, Lithuania. In 1944, he and his brother Adolfas were taken by the Nazis to a forced labor camp in Elmshorn, Germany. After the War he studied philosophy at the University of Mainz. At the end of 1949 the UN Refugee Organization brought both brothers to New York City, where they settled down in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Two months after his arrival in New York he borrowed money to buy his first Bolex camera and began to record brief moments of his life. He soon got deeply involved in the American Avant-Garde film movement. In 1954, together with his brother, he started Film Culture magazine, which soon became the most important film publication in the US. In 1958 he began his legendary Movie Journal column in the Village Voice. In 1962 he founded the Film-Makers' Cooperative, and in 1964 the Film-Makers' Cinematheque, which eventually grew into Anthology Film Archives, one of the world's largest and most important repositories of avant-garde cinema, and a screening venue. During all this time he continued writing poetry and making films. To this date he has published more than 20 books of prose and poetry, which have been translated into over a dozen languages. His Lithuanian poetry is now part of Lithuanian classic literature and his films can be found in leading museums around the world. He is largely credited for developing the diaristic forms of cinema. Mekas has also been active as an academic, teaching at the New School for Social Research, the International Center for Photography, Cooper Union, New York University, and MIT. Mekas' film The Brig was awarded the Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival in 1963. Other films include Walden (1969), Reminiscences of a Journey to Lithuania (1972), Lost Lost Lost (1975), Scenes from the Life of Andy Warhol (1990), Scenes from the Life of George Maciunas (1992), As I was Moving Ahead I saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty (2000), Letter from Greenpoint (2005), Sleepless Nights Stories (2011) and Out-takes from the Life of a Happy Man. In 2007, he completed a series of 365 short films released on the internet -- one film every day -- and since then has continued to share new work on his website. Since 2000, Mekas has expanded his work into the area of film installations, exhibiting at the Serpentine Gallery, the Centre Pompidou, Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Moderna Museet (Stockholm), PS1 Contemporary Art Center MoMA, Documenta of Kassel, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, and the Venice Biennale.

Aldo Tonti

Biography

Aldo Tonti (2 March 1910 – 2 July 1988) was an Italian cinematographer. Born in Rome, Tonti started his career as photographer, then entered the industry of cinema as assistant camera operator. He debuted as cinematographer in 1939, with Piccoli naufraghi by Flavio Calzavara; his first important work was Ossessione by Luchino Visconti. His works include films by Federico Fellini, King Vidor, Richard Fleischer, Roberto Rossellini, John Huston, Alberto Lattuada, Mario Monicelli, Sergio Sollima, Pietro Germi, Dino Risi, Marco Ferreri. In 1961 he won a Silver Ribbon for best cinematography for Nicholas Ray's The Savage Innocents. Tonti retired in 1982. Nicky Li Chung-Chi

Born on December 23, 1963 in Canton, Nicky Li wanted to become a police officer but eventually turned to the profession of stuntman. In order to refine his abilities he will learn Taekwondo, Wushu and Thai boxing making him a perfect martial artist of cinema. He joined the Sing Ga Ban in 1986 for the second part (post injury) of the filming of Armor Of God. He will never leave the star's team and will even become Jackie's right-hand man, earning him the nickname "2nd boss"! A true man of confidence, he will work, in addition to films made in Jackie, on some of his productions (Purple Storm, Gen X Cops ...) as a choreographer. We obviously find him in the credits of the US films of Sing Lung and he seems determined to follow it to the end! Arnaud Lanuque and Jean Louis Ogé. Was a member of Jackie Chan's Stuntmen Association.
