It is a live action feature film that is set in a world where the undead have risen and can be tamed to live peacefully with humans. People have been split between those who support undead rights and those who do not. Andrew and Emily, from either camp, meet and start to fall in love, while Brian just struggles to fit in. It is a social/political satire, story of struggle and a romantic love story all wrapped into one.

Věra Donátová has graduated from law school and wants to open a law firm. However, she is financially dependent on her parents. In an attempt to reform him, she offers him a position as a butler in his office. Tygr invites her to a pub to get acquainted with the mentality of the underworld. Věra likes his sovereign behavior. The one-year deadline has passed and Father Donát is throwing a feast. He wants Věra to choose from several invited suitors. Věra ridicules all the suitors, including Consul Raboch's son...

Police Inspector Brigitte Hasentritt, who investigated Clarissa’s murder, becomes a central figure, marrying one of Michaela’s ex-husbands, owning most of the company, and facing vampires and attack dogs. By the series’ end, all characters are vampires, crossdressers, or insane. The finale shows Clarissa being eaten by Penelope and Brigitte, Dr. Robert impersonating Clarissa, and Michaela dying from choking on a cheeseburger.

The film is full of pop-culture references and allusions, relentlessly peppered with corny puns that sometimes become an integral part of the plot and story. The film takes a similar approach to the mixing of genres; the crime film premise crosses into the realms of fantasy and horror in the course of a plot that is often self-contradictory.
