ANTHROPOPHOBIA

Some Things Hidden (2020) is an experiment in rhythmic succession of still images to create illusions of movement through space in an altered time. The film documents a day with the artist and his parents on a hike through active bear country, beneath the Grand Tetons in Wyoming using a hand cranked 35mm movie camera.

A man grapples with his anxiety, attempting to calm him self in the shadow of his idols. As the ideal and the real collide.

Two souls: One seeks to know her life's true essence and the other is haunted by foreign sights of himself, as they both are influenced by an existence beyond human realm—whom continually oversees them across eras, trapping them in a labyrinth of time and the unknown.

'Is it a plaisir' is an experimental short film that explores femininity and the body as a sharp territory, crossed by the tension between desire and imposition. Through symbolic, sound and visual saturation, the film acts from pleasure (plaisir), revealing a liberation that emerges in the midst of excess, where intensity and lightness, dark and light, intertwine, collide and converge.

Only through personal reflection will the answers reveal themselves, making the experience uniquely yours.
