HTBCDA grinds the lens of Martinez's live stand up material for the screen, peering into the constructed nature of the filmed comedy special, and the constructed nature of the performer herself.

Directed by Robert Frank and Alfred Leslie, Daisy was adapted by Jack Kerouac from the third act of his play, Beat Generation; Kerouac also provided improvised narration.
