In this animated version of Edgar Allan Poe's story, a traveller arrives at the Usher mansion to find that the sibling inhabitants are living under a mysterious family curse. The brother's senses have become painfully acute, while his sister has become nearly catatonic.

John Hall is a drifter who wanders into a small town in Maine. He needs a job and decides to seek employment at the community's top business: a large textile mill. He is hired to work the "graveyard shift" -- from around midnight to dawn -- and, along with a few others, he is charged with cleaning out the basement. This task strikes the workers as simple enough, but then, as they proceed deeper underground, they encounter an unspeakable monstrosity intent on devouring them all.

When their therapist announces a trip to the town of 'The Forgotten' to work on their bad behavior, cousins Garu and Ponki laugh and make fun, believing their parents will send them to a luxury resort instead, as usual. What they don’t know is that this time their irreverence will lead them to a less glamorous, and possibly perpetual, adventure!

While we expect smoking adverts to be disturbing, the titular character is disquieting in a refreshingly unusual sense.
