Ozzy, a friendly, peaceful beagle has his idyllic life turned upside down when the Martins leave on a long and distant trip. There's only one problem: no dogs allowed! Unable to bring their beloved Ozzy along for the ride, they settle on the next best thing, a top-of-the-line canine spa called Blue Creek.

The arrival of beautiful, mysterious French Junior Champion, Dorothée Doutey, causes rumors and sparks to fly. Lessons from the junior champ are marred by her deep seeded issues that the Saddle Club attempt to fix.

Dusty gets the school to agree to an Equestrian Drill Team and she enlists her new city slicker friends to join the team. As Dusty and the team practice, Dusty deals with the fears that come with her mother fighting in Afghanistan.
